The first group of international students finished Veterinary Medicine studies and graduated from the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) Veterinary Academy.
The Veterinary Medicine studies for international students were initiated in 2011 by the earlier dean of the Veterinary Faculty Prof. A. Aniulienė, earlier Veterinary Academy chancellor Prof. H. Žilinskas and their team. The present LSMU Veterinary Faculty dean Prof. V. Riškevičienė points out that these studies in 2013 were a serious challenge for lecturers. However it was successful.
Today the Veterinary Faculty dean is happy that all international graduates received their diplomas at the end of February and they can already be proud of getting several work proposals in Sweden, Norway and other countries.
One of the most important aims of the LSMU strategy and tasks of the development of studies is to perform high quality studies by constantly improving the quality of the teaching, to provide conditions to develop science and studies in clinical infrastructure and to promote students‘ scientific work.
The content of the subjects is in accordance with the main regulations of the Veterinary Medicine study programme, the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education recommendations and the legislation.
