LSMU representatives promoted study programmes during the two Education Fairs and accepted the entrance examination of prospective students.
LSMU recruitment agency Medical Doctor International Studies invited 36 applicants to sit the entrance examination and 28 of them successfully passed the test, 20 were accepted to study medicine, 5 were accepted to study Odontology and 3 were offered a study place in Veterinary Medicine. Two candidates registered by the LSMU alumnus Dr. Philip Perlov successfully passed the examination, too, and were offered a study place in the Faculty of Medicine.
International Project Coordinator Irina Semeško made a presentation about LSMU, study programmes taught in English, international students’ support facilities, Kaunas and Lithuania for the audience of the Education Fair organized by the agency Medical Doctor International Studies.LSMU‘s alumni: David Jagudaev, Natali Dinavitser, Ariel Krutouz, Anton Rosenthal and Ilan Vashurin took part in the fair and assisted the LSMU team greatly. They shared the foretime experience and described the study particularities at University, as well as living conditions in Lithuania.
Prof. Julija Narbutaitė, Dr. Edita Mašanauskienė and Agnė Jašauskaitė made presentation about study programmes and students’ life in the second Education Fair organized by agency Overseas Medical Education. Prof. Julija Narbutaitė gave an interview for the promotional video which would be shown for the prospective students on the agnecy‘s website and facebook. Both Education Fairs were well-attended – more than 400 prospective students and their parents had attended each fair and stands of LSMU were overcrowded all the time.
International Relations and Study Centre is satisfied by the visit results. We would like to believe that Israeli students will accept the Offer of study place and will start studies at University on the coming September.
